More than 3,000 inspiring images that transform walls, floors and ceilings into a work of art are what visitors get to experience when the multi-sensory exhibition Van Gogh Alive - The Experience visits Uppsala and Fyrishov this summer. A unique opportunity to experience the world-famous artist Vincent van Gogh's art in a completely new way. The exhibition is open from 16 June to 18 September.Visit official website
Vincent van Gogh's work has been shown and appreciated around the world for over 100 years - but never like this. Created and produced by Grande Experiences, Van Gogh Alive is an immersive art experience with vivid graphics and music that stimulates all the senses, and where the paintings come to life through large-scale projections with vivid details. In the experience, the visitor enters Van Gogh's world of images, filled with light, color and sound.
The experience is aimed at a broad target group, both adults and children. While it has been appreciated by art lovers, thanks to its multi-sensory experience, it has also been well received by visitors who do not usually visit art institutions.
- The experience has been created to let visitors enjoy at their own pace. And everyone creates their own experience, a new way to experience art and be in the middle of it. We look forward to offering guests and Uppsala residents a really cool and different experience, says Anna Lindström, Head of Meetings & Events, Destination Uppsala.
Van Gogh Alive has been experienced by millions of visitors around the world, and this summer visitors from Uppsala will get the experience.
- After mesmerising a global audience of over 8.5 million people and selling-out cities all over the world, including London, Rome and Sydney we’re incredibly excited to be bringing Van Gogh Alive to the City of Uppsala during Summer 2022. This is an unforgettable cultural experience for all the family to enjoy, says Bruce Peterson, Owner of Grand Experiences.
The exhibition offers the visitor an experience that activates all senses. Detailed images flow through the mass of projectors and merge with digital surround sound and scents that evoke the feeling of the French countryside.
- We are happy to finally present the exhibition in Uppsala, says Stefan Papangelis, CEO of Nordic Exhibitions & Events, which is the Swedish organizer. Uppsala has a good geographical location, a large catchment area and a capacity to welcome many visitors, which makes the exhibition accessible to many.
